Competitive Recruiting - Session 9 (Jan 22)

Use the normal recruiting link (if you had visits for recruits) to use RP to sign players in Session 9.  

Competitive Recruiting - Session 10 (Jan 29)

This will be the first application of "The Holden Rule".  Essentially ANY players not signed during competitive recruiting show up here and can be signed (no step 1/step 2).

There's no automation to run session 10 like this.  The program expects specific number of players per session and I won't be doing additional coding or testing so the process is manual. The process will go like this:

1) I'll send an email after session 9 is over requesting your RP "bids"

2) If I'm also looking to sign one of these recruits, I'll email another manager who is not bidding so they have my bid before I accept yours.  

3) You email me back with the RPs you want to spend by the session 10 deadline

4) After session 10 matches run, I process the RPs you sent to determine the winner and publish the results.  This is the same format as an automated auction:

a) You must have enough RPs to spend (this should be the RP total AFTER session 9 is completed).

b) The highest valid RP "bid" signs the player for 1 RP above the 2nd highest "bid". 

We will see how the process goes this season and determine if it continues.  It probably will, but I'll also likely bump the 3-star players to a min (Max +1 'something') to hopefully limit it.  

Signing Walkons - Session 12 (Feb 12)

The purpose of this is to ensure each team will have 16 players to start the following season and also to fill any position minimums that may be an issue with seniors graduating.   This process is done AFTER the Competitive Recruiting has ended and will be available for session 12.

Additional information for Walk-Ons:

- This occurs during session 12 (there is a form for this and for how you spend your XPs)

- The recruit walk on process is there essentially as a supplement to when you still have recruiting spots to fill. It is not intended to be the only way you get recruits. Hence the higher costs.

You can select up to two 3-star players.  Starting with season 4 the first 3-star player (no matter the position) is FREE.  Costs for discovering the other 3-star is double their min RP values as 3-stars in a competitive recruiting session:

- L – 420

- MB – 480

- RS – 510

- OH – 540

- S – 600

You can select up to two 2-star players.  Costs for discovering these players is the same as the min RP values in a competitive recruiting session, but we use the 3-star minimums:

- L – 210

- MB – 240

- RS – 255

- OH – 270

- S – 300

You can select multiple 1-star players.  Costs for discovering these players is the same as the min RP values in a competitive recruiting session, but we use the 2-star minimums:

- L – 140

- MB – 160

- RS – 170

- OH – 180

- S – 200

If any team doesn’t meet roster minimums to start the following season, the league will add as many 1-star players as needed to make the roster legal.   This may include dipping to next season RP earnings if needed.
