I'm tasked with improving your knowledge of the competitions and schedule based on previous feedback.  That may take me some time (I have some United work to get to) but I will continue to try.

WGM Cup

One thing I put in place over the last week was adding a clickable bracket for the WGM Cup.  The bracket has been there for a couple of seasons (on the scores page) but I know sometimes if its not in front of me too I may overlook it.  I hope that is helpful.  I'll try to so the same for other competitions.

Conference Tourney

My effort on what competition is coming up, how does it work and why should I care is for the Conference Tournament.

We've all played EIGHT conference matches.  We'll play two more this session (5) and those 10 matches will determine the Conference Tournament Seedings.

What you'll see after session 5 will be the seeds for the conference tournaments.  Top seed (#1 is the top seed) in each match will get home court in each round.  

IF there's a tie on conference match record then the conf set percentage is the next tiebreaker (followed by conference point percentage).

Starting session 6, all teams in your conference will play in the knockout Elite 8.  Session 7 will have the conference tourney semifinals and Session 8 the title matches for each conference tournament.

Pac 8

- Vick's Shrimps are the defending champs.

- Martyn is in the driver's seat for the #1 seed

- There's a LOGJAM of 6 teams at 4-4 who could improve their spots to get the #2 seed (right now Matt's San Diego has a slight edge).  

SEC

- Baton Rouge led by the right honorable Mike Halpin are conferenc tourney title holders AND have won this tournament the past three seasons.  Can they four-peat?

- Oh look, there's the Bananas in position to be the top seed again (just barely winning the tiebreaker over Mr. Martin's team).  

- With 2 games separating ALL EIGHT teams, the #1 seed is still up in the air and will be decided in session 5.  

Big 8

- No surprises here, NET #1 Columbia led by the wily Steve Turner are title holders and two time champs with a good chance to three-peat

- Quincy and St. Charles are tied at the top, with Columbia predatorally in 3rd (and likely moving to #1 after a home win over Quincy this session along with the Sellers internecine warfare of the Quincy-St. Charles conference matchup in match 14).  Who is looking up "internecine" right now?

- Arlington and Dallas also have a shot at a top seed.

Big East

- John's Vampire Bats are defending champs

- Aires' Bullfrogs (getting it done) and John's Bats (unexpectedly high) are in a mathematical tie for first (with Burlington just a sliver ahead on the 3rd tiebreaker for conference points).  

- The Frogs and Bats face off in Match 14 AT Sheboygan in what is likely a top seed decider.

- While the much talked about recruiting class for the Winged Hogs is just getting started this season, they aren't that far behind (just 1 game out).

- Spokane, Alton, and Schenectady still have a top seed chance.

As a side note, while we'll have 10 conference matches after session 5 there will STILL be 4 regular conference matches for each team to determine the conference regular season title.  Those matches occur (one each) in sessions 9, 10, 11, and 12.
