Welcome to the first ever SEC Shenanigans. This will be a hopefully weekly event where I run my eye over the SEC and see who is playing nice and who isn't. There are proboably more housekeeping notes but for now let's jump in and see how we go.
After 4 sessions the Baton Rouge Bananas are in first place at 6-2. They are leading the SEC in set percentage as well. However only 2nd when it comes to point percentage, trailing the team in 2nd overall...
The Teutopolis Twisters who in a tight battle for 2nd with Starkville Bloodhounds have it by a wide set percentage .667 to .552. The Twisters have been in slightly better form lately so it will be interesting to see how things go.
The next tier in the SEC are the 4-4 New Orleans Swamp Rats and the Merritt Island Manatees. The Rats are leading by a slim percentage .500-.480 and trying to not only move past the other but catch those above while fending off those below, who are...
The pride and joy of the SEC the Kentucky Panthers and the reinging champions Nashville Red Pandas at 3-5. Despite being the pride and joy, the Panthers after a great start have settled into their usual haunts in the standings, thankfully just ahead of the Pandas..407-.385. These two teams will be laser focused on improving their standings next round.
Which brings us to last but not least, the Antioch Anglerfish at 2-6, Rob has had a rough season so far but is still a chance of moving up the ladder as the season goes along, especially with the struggling teams in front of him.
So there you have it, the first of hopefully more SEC Shenanigans. Looking forward to bringing you more, hopefully with different statistics and thougts about this great conference.
