RECRUITING

5 teams have already signed 2 players for Season 9:  Dallas, Antioch, Cinci, Mendon, and Pekin.

No one is surprised that Craig Bucknall has the #1 recruiting class thus far (with Rob just behind in 2nd).

Should the BIG 8 start worrying even more about CB?  Yes, I think they (and I) should.

WHY ARE THOSE WOLVES ANGRY

That's the question Phil likes to ask a lot.  Andy has the Wolves flying (can they fly?).  They are in 1st place in the PAC 8 leading by 1 match.  That also gives them the #1 seed and home court throughout the conference tourney.  First up for Denal is San Diego.

The Wolves have finished 7th, 6th, and 6th in conference play and have not made it out of the quarters in the Conference Tourney yet.

BIG EAST LOG JAMS

They are phighting like Beavers over in the BIG East this season.

Cinci and Burlington top the table at 7-3.  THEN Alton, Schenectady, Mendon, Spokane, and Sheboygan are logjammed at 5-5 close behind with 4 conference matches to play.

The Winged Hogs have earned the #1 seed in the conference tourney with the point tiebreaker (both Cinci and the Bullfrogs were even on set winning percentage).

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Nashville, St. Charles, Alton, San Jose, Starkville, and Columbia all had players on the Team of the Week this session.  Max's Scarecrows had 2.

For the Shrimps OH Schiffer this was his 2nd appearance on the ALL-TMVL TOTW.

Meanwhile Max is doing something right at Setter with Forsberg notching his THIRD appearance in this list.  St. Charles are 8-8 on the season and 7-1 when Forsberg plays...

MATCH OF THE WEEK

There were some great matches this week.  Like:

- Cbad over Los Chihuahuas in 5

- Nawleans over A-Fish in 5 

- T-Town over the Shrooms in 5

I chose the Conference Round 10 matchup of Cinci at Christer's Squirrels.

Strong lineups from both teams B+ from the Hogs to Schenectady's A-.

This was a great back and forth match with Christer just barely coming out on the winning end 15-13 in the 5th.  That prevented the Hogs from getting a 1-match lead in the Big East (they still are in the #1 slot, tied with the Frogs).  This also propelled the Squirrels to a #4 seed (and a home match) in the conference tourney.  Big match!

WGM QUARTERS

8 teams remain for the William G Morgan title.  Title holders Columbia have been knocked out so a new champion will be crowned this season with no repeat...

It feels like we have old people/veterans in these Elite 8 matchups
