Well that was an interesting session!
Overall standings look like this for 3 undefeated teams:
NET has these teams in the TOP 5
I already did my "Meet the New Boss" post to show respect for my new overlords... 
Congratulations to some BIG conference starts for these teams:
Andy's Denali 2-0 in the PAC-8
Paul (Portland), David (Arlington), and Craig (Dallas) 2-0 in the BIG-8
Kevin's Swamp Rats 2-0 in the (Welcome to the) SEC
Aires and the Frogs at 2-0 in the BIG EAST (some say he named the conference)
So massive starts for some teams that have not won a lot of trophies (yet). Although Burlington and New Orleans certain have some trophies already.
Teams with success like Columbia (1-2), St. Charles (0-3), Quincy (1-2), San Jose (0-3), Baton Rouge (1-2), Carlsbad (1-2) are not yet in the conversation (or at least not in a good way).
I will say there were some teams that looked to session 1 to simply build FIT. Was it at their own peril or will it pay off?
Still, there are other teams like mine where a B- is our best lineup these days.
Just like with my daily walking regiment I'd rather have steps in the bank than have a bunch of walking still to do late in the day.
Will these teams at the top of the table (standings and WGM) continue their winning ways or can they be caught. It will be interesting to see...
Once again congratulations to the teams with big results in session 1 and good luck to all in session 2.

Wasn't expecting to win anything so happy with a win. Could be a long season conference wise
I was intrigued by all the different tactics.
I used all my CP on FIT and have all T7 at Fit +1. I think San Jose did the same but haven't checked T7.
The 'Crows used no CP on FIT (I think) and also has T7 at Fit +1 with 7 players increased in skills. 5 (or 6) players played all 3 games so their back-up team is very weak.
Antioch used no CP on FIT and all their T7 is on Fit 0.
Although disappointed at the Dallas result the planning has gone OK - I believe I'm on course for CP usage planned (need to win 5 sets per session with 8 CP spare) and most of the back up players only have to lay 1 match per session.
Happy to escape with the wins now, because they will dry up soon. This coming session we get the Pandas, who we frequently drop winnable sets to, and then on the road to Bananaland, where I can't expect us to come away with victory. Might be time to rest the seniors and get Fit up, so we have a chance of competing later in the season.
Tactics. I went for playing three of my main players in all three games, which did payoff with three victories.
Now though I have fit at -1 for these players. Session 2 may be a problem.
Disappointed with the lack of a fanfare here - top of the league deserves more credit......credit of RP preferably.

Dallas concentrating on the league? Play joint top Arlington next away - best focus on that than the cup match, whoever they're playing next
As CB notes, yes this is an REM song and one of my favorites (yes I love REM and yes I saw them in concert in 1989).
There were a lot of interesting strategies as pointed out above.
I think Andy's strategy paid off as the players who are not -1 FIT are still pretty close to the guys that played all 3 last week. PLUS those similarly skilled players are now +1 FIT.

Yes Craig, we should now promote a rich get richer scheme to give all the 1st place conference teams a 500 RP bonus after session1. Would that be agreeable? 😎

I'm very interested to see where we are at the end of session 4. Will we see similar standings as today? Will we be welcoming our new Lumberjack Overlords? Time will tell...
