This is more of an FYI than anything to see if people read the Forum...
Each season I try to 'reset' the two non-league teams to a reasonable SL and Top-11/Top-16 total.
I'm not terribly scientific about this but try to average out the bottom three real teams or so and then come up with something near that number. I don't think these teams should be really weak, but not great (obviously) either.
Really just an FYI...

What would be cool would be to have the players teams sell to non-league actually appear on the non-league rosters... though that'd probably be a huge hassle because you'd have to write some basic AI (which team has more players, which player should get released if the teams have 30 players, etc etc).

The problem with your suggestion John is that most managers only sell the crappy players to non-league clubs. So, we'd essentially see a pair of teams @ SL 4-8 and nothing of substance.
I think Al has the right idea here. So far, every season, one of the non-league teams actually does fairly well. Blythe Spartans actually advanced out of the group round in the AP Cup! I think a lot of that has to do with managers taking the non-league teams for granted and playing extremely weak teams, expecting to coast by I know I've been guilty of that myself.

As I play Blythe in the FA Cup - I say let'm rot!
Seriously - seems like Al has the right idea for these teams - T11 at the ready
