I was talking with a valued colleague, well Ian, and I thought I'd ask...what do you think...how much is 1 solitary CP worth?

Based on prices and values as set by the program, I'd say between 40 and 60k. You get better return on investment by doling your CPs out on Age I players, according to the valuations, as well.

You're all mad. I'd say one CP is worth about 6-7k, remembering it takes multiple CP to raise the SL of a player by 1!

I think Ian was saying 1 CP, rather then 1 CP a session (for a total of 10) or something like that.
So if I have 25 CP right now, how much is one worth? 5k? 1k?

I'd value a CP no higher than 10k each. Since you can neither trade nor buy a CP, the only time it comes into play is when you are deciding to buy an old guy from another team to sit on your bench all season and bring in CP, or when you are debating selling off a player at the non-league sale deadline or keeping that guy to bring in 3 more CP.
In the first case, if I am going to be buying a player solely to sit on my bench, I'd pay up to around 75k or so if I could have him all season. That fits into Ian's range. I would not spend 100k + for any player that will not see playing time and can't help me earn any additional CP with a win.
In the second case, at the non-league sales deadline I will strongly consider selling off any player that I can get at least 50k for. I they sell for 30k or less, I keep them for the 3 CP each. So that's where I get the 10k value from.

Of course, if you're desperate to get levels into Age 1 players then your valuation might have to go up. *SIGH*

Yup, messed up the math. Your player gets around 40 to 60k in value depending on age with the addition of CP, which would put the CP around 4 to 6k apiece. You get higher value for CP the lower the player's skill level; 6k/CP for upgrading a I/10 but only 4.2k/CP for a I/14.
