Hi guys,
I've noticed a couple of "undocumented features" in the Match Preview system and Al has asked that we try to figure out what the issues are, patterns, rhyme & reason, and whatnot. If anyone finds any inaccuracies in the Match Preview, please note it here, using the following format:
Match Number: <num>
Competition Type: <AP Cup Group><AP Cup QF><League Rd X>
Issue with Home/Away: <home><away>
Inaccuracy: <comment>
For the match number, you can find this info in the address bar of your web-browser. See my next post for an example.

Match Number: 100 *
Competition Type: League Rd 2
Issue with: Away Team
Inaccuracy: Comment says, "Northampton Town FC haven't won a league match at Home Park since season 8." However, the Recent Meetings indicates otherwise...
| 13 | League Round 1 | PLY | 1 - 2 | NOR |
* Note on Match Number: Look at the url in the address bar below. The "schedule_id" tells you that the match number is 100.

Match Number: 318
Competition Type: AP Cup Group (3)
Issue with: Away Team
Inaccuracy: Comment says, "Plymouth Argyle FC are free of injuries entering today's match." However, Plymouth has a MF on FIT -3 that is inelligible to be played in this match.

it's always done this on my match previews. i usually comment on them when i spot them.
but I've no idea about computer coding, sorry

I've investigated some of the preview commentary where folks had spotted inaccurate statements. This is SPECIFICALLY for the issue where it might say a team last won at the stadium in season 10, when it shows they had won in season 12 (for example).
I had some code in the program to look for this when a team hadn't won at the opposition's stadium in three or more seasons (if they won their recently its not as big a deal). But that was throwing off how I was presenting it.
So if you have won within the past three seasons, this will no longer appear.
I think I have this resolved.
I also added a note when a team has NEVER won a league game at the opposing team's stadium AND if its the first ever meeting (league) at the home team's stadium.
Roy, please now check yours again. Do you still see issues? If you do post them here (or email me).
Rob: Thanks for starting this thread.
I have not resolved/investigated the injury issue Rob mentions above yet.
