The MSWL Cup exists, so why not the United Cup now that we have two United leagues.
This was only a quick thought I had so I don't have significant details to offer yet, but perhaps the top 4 or 8 ranked teams at the end of the season from each league could meet in The United Cup. Figure this could be based on the new ranking system recently implemented (per Kevin's metrics) as those should provide a pretty good gauge for who the top teams are each season.
Keeping the number of teams invovled low (i.e. 8 or 16 total) will help keep the competition relatively short so as not to significantly lengthen the off season. Perhaps also utilize Wednesday and Saturday sessions to expedite the cup?

Yes I think we should go for it!!! I love the idea but agreee with Trevor no cp awarded perhaps each team recieved 25k gate money for each game and 150k for the winner 75k for the runner up.. All played on neutral grounds..

AP Cup Winners
F A Shield & Cup Winners
Youth Cup Winners
1 team selected by Allan to represent each league (PErhaps a newcomer who has done well or an unlucky runner up who was pipped at the post)
So we would have Last 16/QF/SF and Finals 4 games Neutral venues
There needs to be no compensation whatsoever. Only bragging rights and immortalization on a webpage.
Principle is fine but qualifiers have to be based on Graham's list above of cup and divisional winners and not on Kevin's "ranking" list where it seems to award points for economical reasons and not just results.
I agree with Rob, no compensation involved, and would prefer it not delay the following season from beginning. Could it possible be run concurrently with the first two pre season auctions?
We may need to wait anoither season or two for U2 to catch up in terms of competitive maturity. The top 8 teams here are all higher T11 than the #1 team in U2.

Also agree there should be no money or CP awarded during the competition. I think a trophy on the team's page (like we already use) would be great. At the most perhaps 250k to the winner.
During the close season sounds like a great idea as well.
Biggest difficulty I see is the possibility that a manager might have two teams in the competition (e.g. Ian w/ PNE and KEN).
I think like the Olmec Cup in the other leagues. No manager should have 2 teams so it should be the runner up in the relevant section that qualifies.. Using my proposal above the money would be minimaland the amximum prize money would be 250k but think if its none bragging rights is good too..
