I don't know previous records on points scored but the Columbia vs Quincy game broke two of last season's highs and equalled another.
Tie for highest scoring set at 36-34
Beat last season's highest scoring 5th set with a 25-23 (last season's high was 22-20)
Thrashed the highest total score of 238 with a whopping 288 points. I think this record will last as long as Bob Beamon's long jump record.

Steve, the previous high from the last four seasons (start of 9 to current) was 247 pts. Season 11, Match 37, National Championship Quarterfinals between Sheboygan and Nashville.
You are correct in that your match with Quincy this past session has blown out any others in recent history for total points!
We've had higher set scores, with the current record being Season 11, Match 32, National Tourney opening round, Burlington v. San Jose, set 4: 41-39 BullyFrogs. Earlier this season, Match 4, Conference, New Orleans @ Kentucky, went to 37-35 for set 2.
The 5th set mark of 25-23 tied the highest recorded, matched only by Season 11, Match 36, TMVL Shield Round 2, New Orleans v Antioch: 25-23 to the Rats.
