Reset needed? (Session 9)
Posted by Steve Turner on Saturday, Jun. 22nd, 2024 at 7:51 AM

The past couple of seasons the Crazy Tomatoes seem to be going mouldy. This season is no better. Bad recruiting is certainly a factor here: T7 is decent but T14 is awful. I've gone back to season 3 tactics of T7 two games and throwing the rest because spreading the reserves over two games is not good enough without luck.

I need my mojo back. It's Saturday morning and I've just done my orders - that used to be a first draft on a Sunday or Monday. As I type I only have 30 RP media bonus. I used to hit 40 RP easily.

Is it time to rebuild from the bottom, saving RP and trashing a couple of seasons?

There's always exit without saving, Steve.

I feel you Steve. Antioch had a couple decent seasons early on, but then it's been all downhill. If you have a blueprint to share, I'm all ears!

Yes i have been wondering about whether just to save RP´s for a couple of seasons and then go on a major recruitment drive. It is really hard to get the best draft players otherwise

Given that you've just won the WGM Trophy, came runner up in the Conference Trophy, and look pretty well-placed to make two more finals this season, I think you may have a different definition of failure than the rest of us Steve!

I accept the Conference has been harder for you but that's only because Portland were one-season wonders last time round and Pekin are currently enjoying a moment in the sun before crashing back down to earth. I'm sure you'll be back at the top in S12 without having to alter course too much. You're just too good at this game for any other outcome.

No, No, Roger!  Steve's team is lousy and he absolutely needs to stop recruiting 5* players and trying to win cups for the next two seasons!  Give up!  Reboot!  Reboot!

Lol @Kevin

Roger, it's more the fact that the second string is poor.
