Dave Dohm has two slots to fill in, both at 14 CP/XP. To XP both needs another 7 sets. If I get those 7 sets then using 14 CP on one will be a waste. To get those 7 I need a 4 set game but how do I guarantee that?
First up I'll be T7 the Quincy game - I have to try and make sure Dallas don't catch us (assuming we win of course) and maybe even get joint first with Portland (very very unlikely). That leaves the 3rd/4th place play-off in the Shield. I feel that anything other than T7 is risking a 3-0 loss with their double A+ OH's but will T7 give me a 3-0 win?

This feels like mind games to try to get Al to throw the conference match and guarantee Columbia a 3-set sweep to mess up Steve's XP plans. No doubt Al sees through this, and will T7 by principle. Steve, meanwhile, will have to use CP for the last coaching slot to ensure he gets his player maxed out, and will then end up with two 5-set matches this weekend after it's too late to change anything back.
I suggested a rule change at one time which got you 3 sets per player per match with one bonus point for winning a set and another bonus point for a 3-0 win. So a 3-2 match becomes 4 sets and a 3-0 win becomes 5...
I like that idea, John. It can be frustrating to win 3-0 because your opponent has TOoTed, when you need the XP.
