My first World Cup experience was in 1986 in my town where I got to see many games but only because my Grandma Doris had cable.  I lived outside of town and cable TV did not come to our house.

So I drove in and watched games with Grandma Doris on the Spanish Channel - Telemundo - because no one else was showing it.

To this day I only watch games on the available Spanish Channel...

And Socrates was in that World Cup with the headband.  I remember being sad when France knocked out Socrates on PKs...
