Selling players
Posted by Andy Shaw on Saturday, Jun. 6th, 2020 at 9:34 PM

Looks like I have to many forwards. Should I sell one ?
If so, who?

For this rules-set it is okay to be Fw heavy.  You can check the Player Values link to see how I/10 Fws (for example) have been priced for sale (VERY valuable).

While working through a Gk improvement, I'd recommend spending a CP focus on the I/10 players.

Make sure you use that CP, Andy. You started with 42 and only used 9. Of the 33 only 15 can be saved for the next session so 18 wasted.

And I agree with Al - focus on the 1/10 for now. At least 3 of them.

So if I have 45cp I could train 4 players a session using about 40.

I can also train 2 App or SBY because I have 2 youth coaches.

Again per session. Is this right?

Andy Shaw on Sunday, Jun. 7th, 2020 at 3:09 PM

Yes on the CP usage.  Since you have a "Coach" the CP cost is the current SL.  If you didn't have a coach the CP cost would be 11 for all those 10's.  As you get them to 11 then it will cost 11 CP to raise them an SL with the coach.

The way to build and always have a very good team is to maximize your youth players each session.

A SBY should either be youth coached or played once a session.

An APP should either be youth coached and played once or be played twice a session.

There are exceptions like if you inherited a really low SL APP (then maybe its not worth the above).  However your team should be set to build all the youth to their maximum potential (typically SL 5 plus QNL 1 or 2 for an SBY and SL 10 for an APP).

If you don't build your youth players it will be hard to have a good team.  All the top teams are also following the same approach every session.

With this approach you'll be solid each season and can fill in some gaps with auction selections.  The SBY/APP players also get full usage starting Session 6 with the Youth Cup. It is a knockout format with a requirement of 8 APP/SBY players plus any other 3 players on your team.  Staying alive in that tourney is a MASSIVE help as you don't have to play these players in normal matches but can get them in youth cup matches and play mostly your best lineup the other 2 matches a session.

Please keep asking as you run across questions.  Many here will be happy to help.
