BRB Proposal - Fitness Coach
Posted by Allan Sellers on Sunday, Jun. 9th, 2024 at 10:09 PM

--written by James Tucker

Why?

This BRB gives you a different option to coach fitness into your players without the expense of using CPs

What does he do?

3 Players preseason are boosted by one fitness level

1 Player per session can be boosted by one fitness level.

Issues to consider

This could be a considerable saving in CP.  If you use only on Age IV players, this could be a value of 40CP per season. (a coach for comparison is 30ish a season)

There is no real downside to this BRB, should there be?

Advantages/Disadvantages

This could create the possibility of the ever-present player at no CP cost.  A player could effectively play 3 games a session, if we adopted the Dietician, you could have a high SL player playing in most games.  Adds an interesting way to manage players fitness and appearances.

If BRBs are limited to 6, do you want one only dealing with fitness, which is temporary and could be wiped out with an injury against those looking at player development.

As above it is quite strong, perhaps it would be better to have only 3CP worth of fitness per session to allocate as you see fit, (9 preseason).  Ditch the pre-season part?

Maybe if a player is selected for the fitness coach there could be a potential downside of a muscle strain through the extra work (downside added complexity)

Disadvantage (or advantage?)  is that there will be more CP available to coach players.

Could be very powerful in conjuction with the superstar BRB...

More CP could be good.

Quite useful and interesting

I don't see the disadvantage of "more CP available" since currently nobody would train fitness for older players in rounds 5+ (apart from the occasional GK and 4 match sessions)

Eduard Habermann on Saturday, Jun. 15th, 2024 at 1:33 PM

So basically compared to the ~25 CPs from the coach, you'll get up to 40 CP - BUT you have to spend them at much less value (e.g. training fitness in round 9).

So I consider those two BRBs quite balanced.

I like this one and echo Eduard's thoughts.

How good is that Watford crest?!?

John Holden on Saturday, Jun. 15th, 2024 at 5:44 PM

Get to the Watford club shop and get the 1974 retro shirt!  I always look at this photo and think that Rod Stewart was taking the process seriously.
