🅾 PREDICTION: CRE 2 – 1 BRI   (CRE to win)
🏠 Home: Crewe Alexandra FC (+9 🏭 Groundsman) — DF:0 MF:2 FW:7
⚔️ KEY BATTLE: Midfield is the decisive zone — Bristol City (45) significantly edge Crewe Alexandra (28) in the engine room, giving Bristol real control of possession through the middle.
ONES TO WATCH: Olivier Havet (FW, TL:16) — CRE | Mislav Caleta-Car (FW, TL:17) — BRI
🎯 VERDICT: Crewe Alexandra should take this one at home. Despite Bristol City's midfield dominance, Crewe's forward line (65) towers over Bristol's defence (43), and with 22 estimated attacks to Bristol's 10, the home side will create far more danger going forward. Olivier Havet is the player to watch — his threat level and Crewe's superior attacking numbers should prove too much for Bristol City to contain over 90 minutes.
RAY'S TAKE
CRE 2 - 1 BRI
Crewe are absolutely buzzing going forward tonight — that front line is a nightmare for any defence, and Bristol City's backline is going to be chasing shadows all match. Sobolewski sweeping behind a disciplined defence gives Crewe the backbone to handle whatever Bristol throw at them. Home crowd, home advantage, and a team that BELIEVES — Bristol won't enjoy their trip up here one bit.
MARCUS'S TAKE
CRE 2 - 1 BRI
Crewe's attacking threat looks overwhelming here — Bristol City's defensive shape simply isn't equipped to handle the volume of forward pressure they'll face at Gresty Road, and the home advantage compounds that nicely. Sobolewski sweeping behind a disciplined backline gives Crewe a structural tidiness that Bristol City, for all their midfield industry, won't easily unpick. I expect Crewe to manage this relatively comfortably, even if Bristol nick one late to make it look closer than it was.

Match Notes

Halpin bringing his attacking philosophy to Gresty Road, which is a bold choice against a side allergic to excitement. Cautious Carl will have a low-block waiting and seventeen contingency plans for a 0-0.
