Season 51 Review (Session 11)
Posted by Brian Beerman on Tuesday, Mar. 17th, 2026 at 12:32 PM

The Seagulls had some highs this seasons:

A dominant league campaign that saw us hit this most goals scored (52), and second on goal differential (+28).

Overall league saw us third on total points (52), second on wins (16), first on goals scored (73) and third on goal differential (+32).

We had two players finish top ten for goals scored in Division 2: Ruben Gutiérrez (16) and Bastien Troussier (11).

And with all of the above, all we accomplished was a one-point-away-from-promotion fourth place; FA Cup and AP Cup crashes out in round one; a Youth Cup quarterfinals loss; and the highest point of the season - an FA Shield Cup loss.

Ideally we're set up for a strong season 52. Some fans and ahandful of pundits are already saying that this team would have likely relegated in Division 2 next year. Not much faith in their Seagulls, but there may be a small nugget of truth in that. If nothing else, this club should be even stronger afrer S52, ready to dominate all who stand in their path.

Cheers

PS - Thank you, Al, for another great season!
