Session 8 saw the first major trophy final of the season as the WGM was fought out between Cincinnati and Columbia and the 4 conference tourney finals were completed.

Cinncinati beat Columbia 3-2 to lift their 2nd WGM trophy.

They also beat Sheboygan 3-2 to win their 6th Big East Tourney and their 5th in a row.

Over in the Big 8 Portland won their first ever trophy beating Columbia 3-0. I can imagine this is just the first of many titles Portland will be picking up.

In the PAC 8 San Jose beat Tucson 3-0 to lift the Tourney trophy. This is the second time they have lifted the trophy with 4 consecutive semi-finals separating the two wins.

And in the SEC my Nashville beat Merritt Island 3-0 for our first Tourney win.

If anyone is thinking of voting for the coach of session - Cincinnati won 2 trophies, Columbia were in 2 finals, there werr 4 Tourney winners and of the remaining non-conf games 8 teams won both their matches. 4 of the PAC 8 teams managed it - Albuquerque, Denali, Mat Su & San Diego. Then there was Pekin, Starkville, Teutopolis and Burlington.
