Mule Malaise (Session 2)
Posted by Allan Sellers on Wednesday, May. 31st, 2023 at 10:57 PM

Session1 was rough on our poor Rabid Biting Mules.  Multiple seasons of poor recruiting have added up to a mess at Q-City.

We opened the season by being thoroughly outclassed by Roger's Pekin.

We scraped a W over St. Charles only because their mad professor coach decided his top players needed some rest.

Then we were once again abused in our final match by Christer's Squirrels as they defeated us in cinco sets.  We weren't even able to use the age old Steve Turner adage "we lost, but we scored more points".

The outlook isn't much better this week.

We start AT Columbia where we have not won in 3 seasons.  So let's put that as an L.

Then we host Arlington.  That looks like an L too with the Anteaters off to a hot 2-0 conference start and in 1st place.

Finally, we face everyone's pick to win the National Championship this season Baton Rouge.  Again, 3 seasons since we beat them.  So that's ugly.

We're predicting an 0-3 session to run our record to 1-5 after session 2.

Although the one thing we are doing is playing our T7 all 3 matches this session.  It won't help.  There's no hope.  We'll basically have a C- lineup even with our best.  Please send your thoughts and prayers...
