At this time last year... and the year before that...
Posted by Kevin Martin on Monday, Jul. 26th, 2010 at 5:51 PM

So maybe you won't accomplish everything you wanted to this season.  In a league like this one, equally important to goals of winning divisions, Cups, and glory is whether or not your team is better than it was last year.  That way, you also know if you're set up to be better than next year.

If anyone wants to see their T11, T16, cash, and player value totals from seasons 3 and 4 to compare with this year, just drop me a note through the in-site messaging system.  I can't give you complete team snapshots with players, etc., however I can do your team totals/averages just like shown on the "Stats" page for any session the past three years.  If you want to see your old roster to end a season, go to your Players-History tab on your team pages and sort by season.  That should clump your roster together and you can scroll through them.  Either way you can see some comparison with how your team has improved... or hasn't.

As a league, the averages are creeping upward apparently.  I don't yet know if this is sustainable league-wide or if there will be a necessary plateau in the next two seasons due to SL limits and CP limits.  Here's what you can see to compare yourselves and weigh in if you think you see a problem developing or a really good thing in progress.

Below you'll see the following stats by columns for seasons 3, 4 & 5 post-session 9:

T11 - league average, league best (team), league worst (no team listed, not counting the Non-leagues - only the 30 manager-led squads)

T16 - league average, league best (team), league worst (no team)

Player value - league average, league total

Bank - league average, league most (team)

Backroom boys - How many teams had a full complement of 5 BRBs

Stat S 3 S 4 S 5
T11 league avg 11.24 11.40 11.65
T11 league best 14.27 (TRA) 14.91 (NOR) 14.55 (TRA)
